Gate City Music Festival 2026
September 5–6, 2026
Downtown Raton / Historic Shuler Theater
A full weekend celebrating music and community in Raton. Saturday features a street fair, vendors, sidewalk sales, a Kid’s Zone, and free live music throughout the day, ending with a street dance featuring Back in the Saddle. Sunday night features a ticketed concert at the Shuler Theater with Crystal & Will Yates followed by headliner Exile.
Sunset Hike

Capulin Volcano National Monument - 46 Volcano Highway, Capulin, NM 88414
Take a ranger-guided hike at Capulin Volcano under the sunset while learning about the volcanic and human history of the area. Reservations are required. Call 575-278-2201 for information and reservations. Outdoor programs are weather dependent.
Dawson Reunion Saturday Night Social

Kick off the 2026 Dawson Reunion with a Saturday night social before the reunion at the historic Dawson townsite the following day.

Historic Dawson Townsite
The Dawson Reunion returns to the historic townsite, bringing the community together to honor the history of the place many once called home. Attendees are encouraged to bring their stories, photos, food, drinks, and chairs.
Annual Dark Sky Festival
September 11–12, 2026 at 7:00 PM–10:00 PM
Capulin Volcano National Monument - 46 Volcano Highway, Capulin, NM 88414
Celebrate Capulin Volcano’s incredible dark skies with astronomy experts, telescope viewing, and opportunities to learn about the night sky. Activities for all ages will also be available at the visitor center from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. No tickets are required.
Raton Supercross 2026

Colfax County Event Center - 151 York Canyon Road, Raton, NM
The 6th annual official RMRA Club Supercross features practice and qualifying races earlier in the day, followed by opening ceremonies and the main races beginning at 4:00 PM. Spectator tickets, food vendors, and VIP pit access options are available.
Moonlight Hike

Capulin Volcano National Monument - 46 Volcano Highway, Capulin, NM 88414

Raton Fashion Fling Fashion Show

See creations from the Raton Fashion Fling modeled on stage at the end-of-season fashion show. The event features designs in three categories: unique designs, fashions created from commercial patterns, and off-the-rack commercial fashions.
