EXPERIENCE THE WIDE OPEN SPACES
This is one big party! Run to Raton (R2R) is Northern New Mexico's favorite motorcycle rally and rocking event.
R2R is held the third weekend in July, on downtown Raton’s historic First Street. Hundreds of bikes roar into Raton to experience our Wild West history and mountain culture.
This free event features hours of live music, vendors, food, beer tents, tattoo artists on site, as well as our premiere pin-up contest, Miss Run to Raton. If you like bikes, music, food, craft beers and cocktails, and pin up culture, this event is one you’ll want to attend. A bonus attraction is the bike raffle held every year!

Expect live music, tattoos, vendors, and the freedom to Explore Raton and its surrounding communities via motorcycle (or car, we won’t mind). Plenty of ventures await visitors, including kayaking, fishing, and camping in Sugarite Canyon State Park and enjoying the views from atop Capulin Volcano or the Raton Sign on Goat Hill. Venture through winding roads and long stretches of road to fun places like Bishop's Castle, the Enchanted Circle, and lush and beautiful canyons.
Enjoy cool mountain breezes and nearby lakes. Sugarite Canyon State Park offers hiking, camping, fishing and kayaking, or you can take in the views from the Raton sign on Goat Hill. Feel like going a little farther, and a hike up Capulin Volcano, which offers views into multiple states.
Turn up the music and make memories on the highest point of the historic Santa Fe Trail!
