Athletes from across the country are invited to test their grit, endurance, and marksmanship at the Master of the Mountains Adventure Relay (MOM), a one of a kind multi sport race that pushes competitors to truly “master the mountains.”
This event will take place on September 11-12, 2026!

A Four Part Mountain Challenge
The race begins with a 6 mile trail run through the breathtaking terrain of Sugarite Canyon State Park, followed by a 3 mile paddle across Lake Maloya at 7,500 feet above sea level. From there, athletes transition to a 15 mile bike ride climbing rugged dirt roads up and over San Francisco Pass into Southern Colorado. The final leg challenges competitors’ focus and precision on a shotgun shooting course at Trinidad State College Prator Gun Range, where the celebration awaits.
