Moonlight Hike at Capulin Volcano

Capulin Volcano National Monument invites visitors to join a Ranger for a magical moonlight hike along the volcano’s rim—from approximately 7:30 to 9:30 PM, explore night-time biology, lunar geography, astronomy, and experience the park’s serene beauty after dark.

Colfax County Events Center


High-energy racing event featuring pro-racers, concessions, and family-oriented fun. Free admission for children aged 5 and under.


The Master of the Mountains Adventure Relay Race

Friday and Saturday, Sept. 12-13, 2025

Sugarite Canyon State Park


A multi-sport adventure challenge in Sugarite Canyon State Park. Participants tackle approx. 6 miles of trail running, approx. 3 miles of paddling, approx. 15 miles of mountain biking, and a shotgun shooting segment. Open to solo racers and relay teams. Spectators are welcome! Race begins at 8 a.m.

Shuler Theater


On Monday, September 22, 2025 at 7 p.m., the Shuler Theater will host M5 – The Mexican Brass, a celebrated Mexican brass quintet performing at the Historic Shuler Theater, presented by the Raton Arts & Humanities Council. This dynamic ensemble, marking its 20th anniversary, has gained international acclaim—touring extensively across Europe, Asia, North Africa, the Americas, and their native Mexico. Their energetic show blends classical, opera, jazz, and pop in a musical-theatrical experience that's as entertaining as it is virtuosic.
