Want to see a shooting star? Head over to Capulin Volcano National Monument to admire the night sky during the Dark Sky Festival. Dress warm and be ready to see our galaxy like you’ve never seen before–up against the backdrop of the Raton-Clayton Volcanic Basin. Ranger Program begins at 6:30 p.m. and night sky viewing starts at 7:30 p.m. Follow the red lights from the visitor center to the observing area.
